When I am sad, or feeling blue,
He's always there, my friend so true.
With gentle eyes and patient heart,
He makes my worries fall apart. 💜
A horse is big, a friend so grand,
But safety first, with gentle hand.
Walk softly up, don't run or shout,
Let them know that you're about.
No Yelling, Please!
Loud noises scare them, it's a fright,
So talk in whispers, soft and light.
No running, jumping, or sudden moves,
Just gentle actions, like gentle grooves.
Always listen to the grown-ups near,
They'll keep you safe, and hold you dear.
They know the rules, they know the way,
To keep you safe with horses each day.
Offer your hand, palm open wide,
Let them sniff you, side to side.
Gentle touches, soft and low,
That's how friendships start to grow.
Approach a horse from the side so slow,
So they can see which way you go.
Never sneak up from behind, it's true,
That might just give them a big "Boo!"
